Overview

"Granted" is a sustainable food and carbon footprint app that I designed for my  second year college project brief on sustainability. My idea behind crafting a sustainable food app is that it can be beneficial in helping people in need of affordable food, it benefits the planet by reducing food waste and carbon emissions and green house gases. We waste about a third of all food produced for human consumption and this wasted food has taken loads of water, resources, transportation, land and labour produce.  The app will track the travel and footprint of how food is delivered to your house and to also give away food to people in need similar to a food bank. 

Challenges

• Challenge when transitioning from initial sketches to the digital interface. Adjustments were necessary for better usability. This required a balance between preserving the original vision and incorporating improvements.

• Taught me the importance of adaptability and user-centred design, emphasizing the iterative process to refine and optimize the UI for a seamless user experience
